Stacking The Shelves (27/09/2014) *zombie noises*

This week has been horrible, I've been walking round with a stomach bug like I'm about to turn into a zombie at any moment, so I might as well start acting like it. I finally got my ass in gear today and went outside for some fresh air... which seems to have cured me. I now have a ton of reviews to write but I haven't read much this week anyway, just The Raft. I have started Trial By Fire and I've nearly finished In The End though, which is terrible. Ergh.

Acquired This Week

For a sick person, I sure do acquire books. I've been waiting to get my hands on copies of Afterworlds and A Little In Love for MONTHS. Afterworlds spine is just amazing, I keep stroking it for no particular reason. A Little In Love is Eponine's story from Les Miserables and has inspired me to actually try and read the original book, because apparently I'm crazy.

I really want to read Afterworlds. It looks amazing! The size of it is quite overwhelming though. I hope you enjoy your new books and that you feel much better soon!

    1. 600 pages! But, it's supposed to be two sides of two different stories so I'm looking at it like I'm reading two 300 page books... which is really short right? :D

  6. I love Les Mis (although I haven't read the actual book) but I really want to read A Little In Love! Eponine's one of my favourite characters and reading the story from her point of view would be awesome. I hope you enjoy your books. :)

  9. Wow, Afterworlds is massive, and I can tell why you would want to stroke the spine, just LOOK at it! I've heard mixed reviews of it, so I'm going to keep an open mind. Aww, hope you're feeling better now lovely <3

  11. The Raft! I love that book! I actually read it while I was on an airplane. AS for The Book of Blood and Shadows, that's one of my favorite books I read this year. Definitely pick it up soon! I recently read Afterworlds. Happy you feel better. I was also sick last week and I'm just happy I'm over it.

  12. Wow, your copy of Afterworlds is actually quite different to my one. You've got some great books here, including Blood & Shadow and The Forever Song. I have read the Killing Woods and while it was dark and thrilling, I kind of found it meh. Hope you get well soon, Vickie.

    Here's my STS this week.

  13. Maybe acquiring the books made you feel better too. :P And that spine of Afterworlds is indeed pretty so I don't blame you. Haha. I haven't heard of A Little in Love, and I'm definitely intrigued. I read Les Mis in high school, and it was a little difficult and a little long, but I think it was worth it. It was good so maybe you'll like it too. :)
