Top Ten Unique Books I've Read
I've read a fair few unusual books. Or at least, I think I have. I've read books about human and dinosaur mutations, books about blindness and books about giant mazes. So I was pretty confident I wouldn't have a problem with this list! I've read them all except Love Letters, which I'm currently reading so it still counts. Honest.
Blindsided - A girl discovers she will soon lose her sight.
Forgotten - A girl can't remember what happened the day before, only the future.
Glimmer - Two teens wake up together with no memory in a Stepford like town.
Hate List - The aftermath of a school shooting, from the perspective of the gunman's girlfriend.
Kill Me Softly - Once Upon a Time (the TV show) in a YA Book.
Love Letters To The Dead - Dealing with a sibling's death by writing letters to dead people.
The Maze Runner - A guy wakes up, in the middle of a giant maze, with no memory.
Miss Peregrine - A guy sees some weird sh*t and visits a creepy island.
The Rule of Claw - Teens struggle to survive in a rapidly changing, apocalyptic landscape.
Where The Rock Splits The Sky - It's a post apocalyptic wild west story with zombies. Read it.

I've only read the maze runner out of all these, but it's true it's a very different kind of story!
ReplyDeleteIt really is! I love the sequel too, I don't usually like sequels as they're often used as filler in a trilogy like this.
DeleteI really want to read The Maze Runner, and Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children and Love Letters To The Dead are also on the list! Great picks :)
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten Picks!

All of these are new-to-me. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Most Unique Books.
The Maze Runner was pretty unique, I didn't think of it when I put together my list. I've been meanin to pick up Miss Peregrine's for a while now.
ReplyDeleteHere is my TTT
Oh man, so many more to add to my TBR list now...;)
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I'm only familiar with a few titles on it but I've heard good things about Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my TTT
Good call on Miss Peregrine - that book was definitely unique! I see a lot of other books on your list I haven't read but that have been on my TBR list for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think to include the Maze Runner, great choice. I really want to read Forgotten and Miss Peregrine. Great list. I haven't heard of Where the Rock Splits the Sky before, just added it to my TBR.

Where The Rock Splits The Sky got 5/5 from me, it's a great story! It's also a standalone as far as I'm aware which is great, I'm swamped with series.
DeleteI completely forgot about Forgotten...that´s an unique book. Nice list.
ReplyDeleteHere is My Top 10 Tuesday
Hahah, sounds like the The Maze Runner is the start of a dnd adventure! Cool cover though, moseying over to Goodreads to learn more.
ReplyDeleteIt'll be a movie soon! I think the casting is perfect and I'm a HUGE fan of The Maze Runner, been waiting for the movie for what feels like years. Highly recommend!
DeleteI don't know how you knew I've been searching for a book similar to Once Upon A Time, but I am going to add Kill Me Softly to my TBR list now. It sounds awesome.
ReplyDeleteIt's had some negative reviews but I seriously loved that book. It was fun and very much like Once Upon A Time (IMO)
DeleteI'm excited to read Love Letters, though I've read mixed reviews on it. And I've had Miss Peregrine's on my shelf forever...I've just been hesitant to pick it up because it looks so eerie. Great list!
ReplyDeleteIt's seriously creepy in places, but fun. It'll stick with you, but in a good way. I really recommend reading it!
DeleteYey Where the Rock Splits the Sky! I included that one too :D
ReplyDeleteAnya @ On Starships and Dragonwings
I loved Maze Runner and it was definitely a unique book but am I the only that thought the series kinda went downhill after it? I am currently about half way though Love Letters To The Dead and loving it!
ReplyDeleteGreat list and thanks for stopping by The Story Goes...
Haha, we have very different opinions! I loved The Scorch Trials, it's my favourite of the series and I thought The Death Cure was pretty strong too. I hated Love Letters To The Dead on the other hand... sorry!
DeletePost-apocalyptic wild west with zombies? Where do I sign up? LOL. Loved Miss Peregrine, need to find time to read the sequel. I'll probably start Love Letters to the Dead this week -- glad to hear you're enjoying it. Nice list!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read a single one of these, though I do own The Maze Runner. I see a few that sounds like they would be awesome so I'll have to check them out. Great list!
ReplyDeleteJust added Where The Rock Meets the Sky to my TBR! Also Hate List because I saw it on yours and another list. Seems a bit odd but.. interesting as well. Wait, I just added Glimmer too. The cover/model is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou commented on my blog saying you liked the design, and I LOVE YOURS TOO. Very pretty colours. And this is a great list :) I definitely think Miss Peregrine is unique, even though I didn't like it. It's such a cool idea to have photos in a book. Oh, and Hate List I HAVE to read now, since Cait from Notebook Sisters chose it as well. I'd never heard of it!
ReplyDeleteYou must be the fish blog! With the moving fishes and worm, I love that layout. :D
DeleteYes, read ANYTHING Notebook Sisters recommends. They are seriously awesome people.
Great list! Haven't read many of those, but I'll have to check a few of them out. I especially want to read Maze Runner. Happy Tuesday! :D

Blindsided intrigues me (not sure why!) but I might check that one out! THanks for visiting my list.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, some good books here! I tried to read Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children and couldn't finish by the time the library book was due, but it was definitely a unique tale. I hope to buy the book soon and finish it!
ReplyDeleteNice list! I've only read The Maze Runner, but several of these titles are now calling my name!
ReplyDeleteGah, yes to The Hate List. You and I? We have brilliant and epic taste of course. Miss Peregrine's was definitely unique..'cept I'm torn because I read Asylum by Madeleine Roux first and I thought it was better, but dude, they're practically the same book. Weird how that can happen. o.O
ReplyDeleteI really want to read some of these books on your list! Great choices! :-)
ReplyDeleteI totally forgot about the Hate List!! It's such a great book. Nice list! :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these books, but there are several that I really want to read. Wonderful list!
ReplyDeleteI've not read any of these! But the sound of Kill Me Softly is brilliant! I'm a Once Upon A time fan... so reading it would be great.
ReplyDeleteGreat picks, Vickie :)

I haven't read any of these other than Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, but I so agree about that one. It's wonderfully creepy and unique, and I can't believe I didn't think to put it on my list!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my TTT back on Tuesday!
