Stacking The Shelves (31/05/14)
I bought books again this week and I don't even care. And no-one will even know because you're all at BEA anyway *cackles evilly*
I didn't buy the cup though. I just like to show that off. |
This week I've been busy on the blog! I've read five books (yes, five!), completed/updated my review archive and planned a post discussing every sequel I need to read. It'll be a two part post, with the second being in 6 months to see if I've got the sequels read.
Read This Week (Sat 24th - Fri 30th)
I bet that when you saw I'd read 5 books this week you thought they were mostly novellas, right? I guess I have too much time on my hands...
Easy by Tammara Webber (5/5)
No disappointing reads this week! I reviewed them all except Days of Blood and Starlight, which I really need to do soon.
Singing Badly To This Week
I heard this (twice) on Britain's Got Talent. He sings a lot better than a lot of the bands he writes song for and this one is really catchy.
Ha, I'm not at BEA! I wish I was though. Boo. Ah, never mind... one year maybe! I have More Than This and I really need to get around to it soon. I just have too many books!
ReplyDeleteYay for new books, even if probably we should not be buying them. Hope you enjoy! And good going on reading five books this week.
ReplyDeleteMy StS.
Wow! You sure have a lot of time in your hands. I miss the days when all I do is read the whole day. I'll be back to read your reviews, they all look good. I've read Daughter of Smoke And Bone, so I'll most likely read the sequels too.
ReplyDeleteAs for your haul, I hope you'd enjoy them. I want to read Alice in Zombieland, even if my friend didn't like it that much.
For the first time in a long time I only bought 2 new books this week so feeling very virtuous! Loved We Were Liars and Will Grayson, Will Grayson but the other 3 are on my TBR - and have been for far too long! Far too broke to go to BEA from buying books :)
ReplyDeleteWow so much books! I've always wanted to read We Were Liars and Daughter of Smoke and Bone. Almost everyone in the blogosphere are really hyped over them! :) I can't wait to get myself a copy.
ReplyDeleteMy First Stacking the Shelves Post
Great Picks here. That Patrick Ness and We Were Liars novel is sure making its way across the blogosphere. I definitely need to check them out. Thanks for dropping by my STS. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm also a new GFC Follower. Love what you got going on here :)
DeleteAlice in Zombieland is amazeballs! Happy reading.
ReplyDeleteOh I liked Alice in zombieland but I haven't read the others, they're new to me. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteWow- you have had a productive week! I haven't read Will Grayson, but I really want to….love John Green! Enjoy all of your books!
ReplyDeleteNice haul! I really want to read More Than This and Alice in Zombieland. I have an e-galley for We Were Liars that I'll be reading soon! :D
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new books!

Happy reading!
Shhh we won't tell anyone... I was tempted to go out and buy books this week but I was good and I just tried to stay offline this week. Its one of the rougher weeks when bloggers are at BEA and your not...enjoy your books they sound good
ReplyDeleteI'm green with envy now, I've been wanting to read More Than This since before it even got advertised on goodreads!! Ah, I'll get to it one day! I cannot believe you read five books in a week...that's quite impressive! And since BEAs happen in the US and I'm in the UK...I guess I'm stuck lusting over More Than This :( Look forward to the review though!
ReplyDeleteI'm in the UK too, it sucks when it comes to BEA and review copies!
DeleteI'm glad you read great books this week! Easy is an amazing read. It's one of my favorite NAs. I just entered a giveaway for We Were Liars and I'm crossing my fingers that I get it. I've been told that I must read it! The rest of your books look so good. I hope you enjoy your new ones. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat haul! I love that mug...I'd show it off too if I had one like that. ;-) I can't believe you read so many books this week! I'm always jealous of fast readers because I'm really slow. Days of Blood and Starlight is a beast, too...it'll probably take me a week just to read it lol. Happy reading! :-)

I absolutely adore Patrick Ness's writing style! I read the entire Chaos Walking series in a week last summer and I definitely want to read the rest of his books. I'm hoping to read More Than This really soon because I recently got a copy of it. We Were Liars sounds really amazing as well. I hope you enjoy your books. (:

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by blog.
Have a great week.
I absolutely love Will Grayson, Will Grayson. But then again, neither man can write a bad book. I need to get my hands on We Were Liars.
ReplyDeleteMelissa @ Always, Lissa
I wish we had our own version of BEA in Australia too, but we're incredibly lucky with how generous our publishers are. I loved More Than This and I bought a copy of Will Grayson, Will Grayson this week too. Looking forward to seeing your thoughts on Alice in Zombieland. I recently nabbed a swap through our own Aussie YA Bloggers group and trying to squeeze in a read. Happy reading and awesome haul :)
ReplyDeleteOhhh I've heard so much good things about We Were Liars! And Alice is okay. I hope you enjoy your books! Also, I love your mug.
ReplyDeleteAlice in Zombieland is so, so, so good! I hope you enjoy ;) I also loved Easy :) Hope you enjoy your books and thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteZareena @ Books and Books

ReplyDeleteKatrina @ Chased By My Imagination
I'm not at BEA either. One day, I'll go. I just need to save a bucketload of money first. And 5 books is impressive; I'd have to play hooky from work to get that done. I thought the Mind Games series was fun to read. And I loved The Program although the second one's not as good. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my haul.
I quite like that purple WG, WG spine. I've never seen it before. We only seem to have the plain red one floating around in the Aussie shops--which is okay, but I haven't bought it yet.
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard not to not buy books. :( it's a problem, haha. I bought a few this week too, first time in a while though, so I've been good. I LOVED We Were Liars though, read it with the twitter read-along, so much fun. But 5 books this week, yikes! I want your reading power. ;)
ReplyDeleteHere's mine
